Prenatal visit with or without a partner
During this visit we will go over the basics of breastfeeding and what to expect the first 6 weeks postpartum. latching, positioning, skin to skin, magical hour, uterine contractions, if baby is to be seperated what to do, possible jaundice, pacefeeding, introducing bottles, when to start pumping, if pumping is necessary, milk storage, what’s normal output when milk is being pumped, growth spurts, ect.
Postpartum visit
During this visit we will make sure things are going well with latching, baby weight, make sure mom isn’t experiencing any pain, see how mom is feeling mentally, talk about baby feeling cues, the effects of introducing pacifiers, talk about meds mom may be on or may need to take, talk about effects of alcohol, discuss caregiver concerns, ect.
With this service, you will receive one free follow-up visit to make sure things are going well.
